Promoting Professional Growth
I have continuously participated in various academic workshops to improve my professional practice, and model lifelong learning by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources. The projects on this page are examples of the various workshops and classes which I have taken to improve my proffesional practice.

For this lesson, I had to create an informative and educational podcast based on Gagne's 9 Events of Instruction. The podcast is on writing tips for inspiring creative writers. It was then posted on my Blog that I kept weekly for the duration of the class.

For this project, I had to create an educational mobile app that would be fun as well as assist the students that use it in learning math with ease. It spans many age groups but is primarily focused on older teenagers and young adults. It also keeps track of the score, which is accessible by the teachers and it is competative both againt others and the players old score.

Through the duration of the class we as a class worked on a group Wiki on PBworks exploring not only Atrition rates but also, potential causes and ways to fix the problem using technology and enhancing online classroom experiences.
This is one of the articles I researched on the cause of atrition rates.
Internal reasons found to influence student's decision to drop out or not are satisfaction and feeling that the classes had relevant information. External reasons listed are family support levels, organization of the course. Also characteristic of the individual tends to lend an idea of how the student will do in the online class.
