Reflection
When I first set out on my adventure int my formal education, I focused on Psychology. In fact that is what I achieved my Bachelor's degree in.
After I graduated fromKent State University Ashtabula branch I gained an interest in education.
Not only did I become a substitute teacher but then I applied to the department of Education Psychology with a focus on Instructional Design. I want to learn more effective ways to teach, and I also wanted to know how to incorporate technology into those learning methods. The world's technology has advanced in leaps and bounds to the point where nearly everybody carries a hand held mobile device that has access to social media, games, and video conferencing. We also have multiple computers in each household. Many of these changes have occurred over the past 20 years and I'm certain that another 20 years will be even more advanced. Therefore, I believe that we need to integrate technology into our classrooms as more than a piece of furniture but as a central part of the learning experience.
Now that I have completed my graduate schooling, I hope to put the skills I have acquired to good use, by creating new methods of learning that will help classrooms use their technological resources better.
