Promoting Creativity
I strive to demonstrate classroom techniques to assist and motivate students to advance authentic learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual environments. These methods include the knowledge of the subject matter, teaching and learning standards, and the innovative use of technology. Using real world experiences the students learn not only in the area of context, but also they learn how to learn and what works best for them. Overall I try to instill a passion for the lifelong pursuit of knowledge and education.

This is a persuasive poster to promote a love of reading. It is one of my favorite projects I worked on and clearly demostrating the modeling creativity, and inventiveness as well promoting reflection, and clarifying conceptual thinking, and creative process.
I utilized Photoshop Elements 12 to create this poster from multiple images.
Great poster. I love it. Very magical looking, especially the eyes in the sky and the huge moon. The girl surrounded by books conveys the critical point. The phrase about "Reading is dreaming with open eyes," is clever. The "open eyes" text and the eyes themselves, are visually reinforcing.~ Drew Tiene, Ph.D.

This is a final project using Adobe Creative Cloud software. It has 8 seperate images merged into the original photo of a tree. It was created using paintbrush over existing photos to create a painte picture.
It supports part a. of Standard I.
Sharp selections throughout the collage. I noticed the large amount of effort in the project to size, place and overlap layers to create the composition. Good use of adjustment layers to consider color differences and styles among the images. Very well done! ~ Ben Hollis, Ph.D.

In this project I had to create a surreal fantasy landscape using photos. I used family heads for the balloons and a balloon for the main character's head.
This was created using Adobe Creative cloud.
It shows a way of using software to make creative and innovative works and an understanding of technology.
Solid demonstration of skills and techniques to accomplish the design goals. Nice layout and design choices (color and text spacing in the web comp and paint techniques). The varied of brush techniques used in the paint PSD are very effective - I haven't seen this particular technique used by past students, and I'll start to recommend it, a very creative and smart technique. ~ Ben Hollis, Ph.D.
